Shops I Support

These are some of my favorite shops.  They aren’t compensating me in any way for an endorsement.  I just happen to believe in small business and these fine shop owners have a history of treating me right.  Shops at the top are local to me and I have more to say about them, but I’ve found some great shops online so check them out.

Bittersweet Fabric Shop, Boscawen, New Hampshire.  David and Laura LaValley, owners.  Dave sells and services Janome sewing machines.  He is excellent and I am totally in love with my Janome.

Quilted Threads, Henniker, New Hampshire.  Becky Webber, owner.  The store is huge (and beautiful) and the selection is enough to thrill every kind of quilter.  They also have a gigantic collection of solid fabrics!  I’ve met a staff member or two who was a little unpleasant, but the rest of the staff is amazing and more than makes up for a quirky personality or two hanging around.  The shop has a Facebook page, but it is not very active.

Portsmouth Fabric Company, Portsmouth, New Hamsphire.  I love it here.  This is a great shop for modern fabric and I love downtown Portsmouth.  This shop has the largest selection of Kaffe Fassett fabric I’ve ever heard of.  It gets chaotic because the shop is small, but I don’t care.  They typically have a storewide 20% off sale in the summer and around the first of the year which is a big plus in my book!  They also maintain an active Facebook page.

Deerfield Veterinary Clinic, Deerfield, New Hampshire.  Dr. George is the vet I’ve looked for my entire adult life.  I cannot possibly say enough about what he and his family and staff have built here.  They also maintain an active Facebook Deerfield Veterinary Clinic Facebook.

Stateline Pet Supply, Plaistow, New Hampshire.  Best prices around!!  And they have a great selection.  There is a range of quality foods, but the largest selection is high quality food.  With two large dogs and two cats, I give them a lot of money.  They offer lots of coupons on their website and they have an active Facebook page.

Starbucks, Epping, New Hampshire.  If you walk in here anytime before 3pm, there’s a chance you’ll find me sitting in a corner, minding my own business.  This particular location is in its own league and any other Starbucks is a step down.  They value the community.  I will forever be grateful to them (especially Sarah!!) for keeping Brentwood PD supplied with coffee in the aftermath of Ofc. Steve Arkell‘s death.

Rocky Top Soap Shop, Etsy.  This has nothing to do with quilts, sewing, or fabric.  I don’t care and you won’t care either.  This guy is out of Maine and he makes the BEST soap in the entire world.  True story.  He usually has some sampler packs for sale that are end pieces.  It’s a great way to try out a bunch of his soap.  His inventory changes frequently so bookmark him and check back.  🙂

Quilt Sandwich Fabrics, Etsy.  Kris and Becca are out of Washington.  I’m what you would call a repeat customer.  When do I not love this team?  They are exceptional at customer service.  They also maintain an active Facebook page.

Other Etsy shops I’ve purchased from and had no problems…

Maggie Anne’s Fabrics

sewingwithme3 – I bough a cute bag pattern.  The instructions were easy.

Stash Modern Fabric

Westwood Acres

Sew Me a Song

Sisters and Quilters

There’s thousands of other great sellers on Etsy… I just haven’t had the money to find them all.  I can honestly say that I’ve never had a bad transaction with an Etsy shop.  As always though… check the shop feedback BEFORE you buy!
